Jeremy DeBons
Jeremy DeBons is a native of Richmond, Texas and is a member of the Osage Nation. He is a distinguished graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Mechanical Engineering program and a graduate of the French Test Pilot School (EPNER). He also holds a Specialized Master’s Degree in Experimental Flight Test Engineering from l’Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE) and an Associate’s Degree in French from the Defense Language Institute.
Jeremy serves on active duty in the United States Navy, assigned to program management duties within Naval Aviation. He has served as an F/A-18 pilot in operational and developmental flight test squadrons, and as the Commanding Officer of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. As an avid instructor in general aviation, he founded and serves as President of the Ready 9 Aviation Academy, a nonprofit whose mission is to promote aviation as a STEM career field within Southern Maryland. He holds ratings across airplanes, helicopters, and gliders and has flown over 4,500 mishap-free flight hours in over 135 different types of aircraft, with 479 arrested landings on 10 different aircraft carriers.
